Our nursing staff are able to help you understand immunizations at all levels. Whether your child needs immunizations for school, you need a shingles vaccine, or your whole family needs immunizations for the respiratory season, ACHD is here to help!
ACHD provides well-visits and physicals for all individuals - from children to older adults.
Our Epidemiologist tracks communicable diseases as they occur throughout our county. She also monitors outbreaks of various diseases and suggests mitigation techniques when and where applicable.
Our Health Educator leads Harm Reduction efforts in our community. She shares resources such as Narcan, fentanyl test strips, hygiene kits, sharps disposal, and much more.
Our Emergency Preparedness Coordinator shares information for individuals in the community to be prepared for potential disasters, as well as plans for public health's role in aiding the entire community after disaster strikes.

Washing your Hands is One Important Part of Preventing Health Problems
Preventive health care services are designed to keep people healthy and to detect potential problems before they occur. These services include well child health care, prenatal care and speech and hearing screenings. Teeth are necessary for appearance, for proper speech and to properly chew. Untreated
dental disease affects the quality of life.

Make your smile worthwhile! Taking care of your teeth is important. Brush your teeth three
times a day, floss your teeth and avoid the use of tobacco products. Good dental care is
important to your overall health. Make sure you and your family see a dentist at least once a
year. A trip to the dentist can ensure that you receive the needed preventive care so that your
teeth and gums remain healthy
